Young children love listening to stories, but soon they also want to read... just like big girls and boys. Read Along With Me books allow them to do just that, and are also an excellent, educationally sound introduction to reading. In this series each book uses occasional pictures as substitutes for words. For example: So the little red [hen] and her [chicks] sat down and ate the [bread]. Soon, by reading aloud with you, your child will memorize the words and begin to "read" the story.
